AMEX quotes go live on fn

CNNfn is first to offer live quotes from American Stock Exchange

NEW YORK (CNNfn) -- CNNfn on Thursday adds live stock price information from the American Stock Exchange to its real-time ticker, making it the first and only network to offer viewers live stock quotes from both the American Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange
The network will begin airing the real-time AMEX quotes at the market's open during "In The Game," (Monday through Friday, 9 to 11 a.m. ET), CNNfn's program devoted to preparing viewers for the trading day with live reports from the trading pits in Chicago and the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
On Dec 12, CNNfn became the first network to air a real-time ticker, with live quotes from the NYSE.
"We are delighted to once again offer our viewers information that is available to them only on CNNfn," said CNN Executive Vice President and CNNfn Chief Executive Lou Dobbs. "With the addition of live quotes from the American Stock Exchange to CNNfn's ticker, viewers have the most comprehensive source of real-time market data available on television."
AMEX Chairman Richard F. Syron called the Exchange's agreement with CNNfn "another major step in bringing the financial markets closer to millions of individual investors.
