New York Stock Exchange gets a little glamour with Planet Hollywood listing
|
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - The New York Stock Exchange got a little Tinseltown glamour Monday as celebrities rang the opening bell to usher in Planet Hollywood's arrival.
Planet Hollywood's stock (PHL) began trading at the NYSE Monday after moving over from the Nasdaq. However, star power didn't translate into investor enthusiasm as the stock fell 1/4 to 19 in early trading.
Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg, some of the celebrity owners of Planet Hollywood, did the honors of opening the exchange for trading.
