Philip Marineau to replace Brenda Barnes as head of North America

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Dean Foods Co. President Philip Marineau is resigning to take the top spot at Pepsi-Cola North America, part of beverage giant PepsiCo Inc..
Current Pepsi North America chief Brenda Barnes is leaving the spot to reportedly spend more time with her family.
The news comes less than a year after Marineau joined Dean Foods as its president and chief operating officer.
Until a successor to Marineau is found, Howard Dean, Dean Foods' chairman and chief executive officer, will assume the duties of president.
