NEW YORK (CNNfn) - The National Business Association is offering prospective entrepreneurs free software to help them determine their chances of qualifying for government-backed loans and learn how to prepare financial statements.
The First Step Software Series, developed in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, consists of four disks that guide applicants through all the steps in the loan process, help them prepare cash projections, balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
The information generated by the software can then be imported into spreadsheets.
Since first released in 1989, the First Step series has been distributed to more than 25,000 business owners.Back to top
