NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Top money managers and analysts appeared on CNNfn this week to discuss the stocks they're buying and why. Here's a brief rundown of those recommendations, culled from CNNfn.com's daily feature, "Stock Picks by the Pros."
On Friday, Franklin Berger, director of biotechnology at J.P. Morgan Securities, told us why Biogen (BGEN) and Amgen (AMGN)are set to soar even higher.

On Thursday, Brian Clifford, portfolio manager at SunAmerica Asset Management, told us why he's keen on technology, biotechnology and oil service stocks this year.
On the oil service side, says Cliford, "I would highlight Mariner Health Group (MRNR) and Global Marine (GLM). They've been good performers year to date...that have pulled back recently."

On Wednesday, Greg Miller, telecom analyst at Jeffries & Co., called MCI Worldcom's (WCOM) acquisition of rival Sprint (FON) "a fantastic deal strategically (speaking)".
