NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Construction company Turner Corp. is moving its headquarters to Dallas from New York City, after 97 years in the Big Apple.
Turner said the reasons for the move included Dallas' proximity to its 1,000 projects, a strong business climate, favorable growth prospects in the Southwest and the availability of personnel.
The nation's largest general builder, behind such projects as Madison Square Garden and the Rock-'n'-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, said it has leased 17,000 square feet in the 72-story Bank of America Plaza building, the tallest skyscraper in Dallas.
The company has 3,400 employees scattered throughout the country, and 15 will be located in Dallas.Back to top
