NEW YORK (CNNfn) - America Online and Kinko's unveiled a five-year, multimillion dollar deal Wednesday in which they will collaborate on developing a co-branded Internet site for small businesses, promote AOL services in Kinko's retail outlets and feature Kinko's advertising throughout AOL brands.
Specific financial terms of the alliance were not disclosed.
The companies will create a co-branded Web site for AOL members and the estimated 100 million small businesses in the Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) market.
Starting immediately, AOL and Kinko's will develop and launch in-store
Internet Solutions Centers to promote AOL (AOL: Research, Estimates) products throughout Kinko's 1,000 stores across the country. The centers will offer computers that feature AOL interactive services, such as Internet access through both narrow and broadband capabilities. In addition, the Internet Solution Centers will also sell AOL software and offer in-store registration.
Additionally, AOL will offer Kinko's print driver on AOL CD-ROMs that will be distributed in Kinko's stores. The new print driver, called "Print-to-Kinko's," enables users to print documents at Kinko's directly from their desktops.
In trading Tuesday, AOL slipped 1-3/4, or 3 percent, to 54.
