Automaker to offer customized promotions based on consumer profiles
|
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - General Motors is offering up to $750 in purchase incentives to customers who register through the GM Web site.
And potential customers who test drive a GM model will get $50 back, if they've also registered online.
Incentive packages obtained through GM's Ticket to Ride promotion can be combined with current national sales programs already in effect.
Consumers will receive special offers based on their registration profiles.
GM (GM: Research, Estimates) will officially launch the early-summer initiative on Friday.
The online component of the campaign will allow GM to tailor value offers to customer data more quickly than the company would be able to by mail, the Wall Street Journal noted in a Friday article about GM's plans.
General Motors stock dropped 13/16 to 69-13/16 in Thursday trading.
