If you have hard time asking for money, get a bookkeeper to handle invoices

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Dear Jane: I have a really hard time bugging clients and customers to pay their bills. I'm pretty friendly with most of the people we deal with, so it's very awkward to ask for money. What should I do?

The best solution is to hire an outside bookkeeper to be the "bad guy" around your office. It will be worth the fee to have an impartial, objective person handle the task of getting dollars in the door. And, you need to keep that cash flowing!

Ask your friends and colleagues for recommendations. Your accountant or CPA should also be able to help you find a skilled bookkeeper.
