NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Fall is a great time to hold an open house. Planning the party with a staff team is also a cost-effective way to boost morale and foster team-building.
You don't have to spend a fortune on a lavish spread; create a small committee to plan the event.
Give them a budget for food, drinks and decorations and let them do it all.
If it's appropriate, invite your best vendors and suppliers. They are certainly part of your core business team.
An informal open house allows you to invite clients, customers and advisers to drop in for refreshments and to catch up.
