NEW YORK (CNNfn) - No matter what kind of product or service your company offers, remember to consider the needs of women when developing your marketing strategy.

Women are a growing and powerful financial force, according to the Business Women's Network.

Did you know that nearly one million women have annual incomes exceeding $100,000 and more than 50 percent of U.S. households with a high net worth are headed by women?

Women also make the investment decisions in 32 percent of households where investments are made.

By the end of this year, 40 percent of all U.S. companies will be owned by women. And that's no surprise, since women entrepreneurs are starting businesses at twice the rate of men. graphic
