Sikorsky, the first name in helicopters, has been thrust into the spotlight.
|
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Ukrainian-born pilot and engineer Igor Sikorsky made the first successful helicopter flight in 1940. He then took the last 30 years of his life turning helicopters into big business serving military, commercial and corporate needs in 40 countries.
Today the United States Army and National Guard alone use more than 1,500 of Sikorsky Aircraft's Black Hawk helicopters during wartime and peace-keeping efforts.
Ali Velshi recently sat down with President Dean Borgman and asked him about the strength of the Sikorsky name and the effect a certain new motion picture is having on business.
