The New York Post says Donald Trump's proposed new show wouldn't star The Donald as The Donald.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Real estate mogul and "The Apprentice" star Donald Trump is reportedly pitching a new prime-time drama that will be set at the Trump Tower in New York City, according to a published report Wednesday.

The New York Post, citing people close to the matter, reported that NBC is said to be "very interested" in the show tentatively titled "Trump Tower."

The new nighttime soap would apparently feature "conniving and canoodling denizens of Trump Tower" in a show like "Dynasty," the Post said.

However, unlike "The Apprentice," Trump would not appear in the new show himself. Instead, an actor would play the billionaire tycoon since Trump is too busy to appear regularly on the show, the story said.

Trump could not be reached for comment, the Post said. NBC declined to comment on the story.  Top of page
