Monday's late moversdu Pont, Equity Office Properties, Microsoft among Monday's active shares.NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The following stocks traded actively on Monday afternoon: E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (up $0.64 to $47.90, Charts), the Dow component, got a lift in Monday trade following a positive mention over the weekend in the financial weekly Barron's. Equity Office Properties Tru (up $3.47 to $48.19, Charts), the nation's largest office-building owner and manager, is to be bought by private equity firm Blackstone Group in a $20 billion deal reached Sunday night. Microsoft's (up $0.47 to $29.87, Charts) shares ticked higher Monday after Credit Suisse upped its rating on the company from 'neutral' to 'outperform,' citing a number of factors including the company's growing strength in the digital entertainment field. Oregon Steel Mills, Inc. (up $4.70 to $63.66, Charts) is to be acquired by Russian steelmaker Evraz Group for $63.25 per share, or about $2.3 billion, a 7 percent premium to Friday's close. Phelps Dodge Corporation (up $25.79 to $120.81, Charts) was acquired by its smaller rival, Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, for nearly $26 billion. ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
