The Japanese electronics giant still expects 2 million units of the new video game console to ship by the end of December and 6 million by the end of March. Sony (Charts) also plans to achieve a five percent operating profit margin for the year starting in April, Sony President Ryoji Chubachi told reporters. He added that there is no change in its estimate that the recall of batteries it supplied for notebook computers will cost 51.2 billion yen ($435.5 million). |
