Tech bulls could shake it up

Dell CEO switch, Google results could contribute to higher start for U.S. markets


NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Shake-ups and results in the tech sector could boost U.S. stocks when the markets open Thursday.

At 5:30 a.m. ET, Nasdaq and S&P futures were higher.

Oil eased. U.S. light crude dipped 49 cents to $57.65 barrel in electronic trading.

Treasury prices slipped. The 10-year note yield rose to 4.82 percent from 4.8 percent late Wednesday.

Among stocks in the news overnight: Dell (Charts), Google (Charts), Starbucks (Charts), Royal Dutch Shell (Charts),Microsoft (Charts) and Time Warner (Charts).
