TXU Corp. (up $7.85 to $67.87, Charts), Texas' largest electric company, announced Monday it agreed to be acquired by a private equity group for $45 billion, including debt. The insurance broker Hub International Ltd. (up $5.05 to $39.54, Charts) announced Monday it would go private after agreeing to a $1.7 billion takeover offer from the private equity firm Apax Partners and Morgan Stanley Principal Investments. XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (up $0.13 to $15.23, Charts) said Monday it had narrowed its losses in the most recent quarter, beating Wall Street profits and revenue expectations.
