Stocks stall at open

U.S. markets little changed as investors await housing sales report.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- U.S. stocks were flat at Friday's open, as investors awaited the existing home sales report a half-hour after the bell.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down about 10 points. The Nasdaq composite index and Standard & Poor's 500 index were less than a point lower.
