Dear George: The key is to tap your own experiences. Ask yourself: What services would you like to receive that you can't find in your town? You may surprise yourself with the number of good ideas you can generate by giving serious thought to what residents really need. The International Franchise Association's site at franchise.org will give you an idea of some businesses that have done well, but don't lock yourself into services that are already being delivered before you draw on your own creativity. Have a business in a small town? How does it cater to the town's residents? Talk back here. |
