Tom Perkins regrets leaving HPFamous venture capitalist tells 60 Minutes he misses being on the computer-maker's board.NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Tom Perkins, the famous venture capitalist, now regrets resigning from the board of directors at Hewlett Packard, according to a report. In an interview to be broadcast Sunday on 60 Minutes, Perkins says he misses being on HP's (Charts, Fortune 500) board, and that the abrupt way he resigned may have been a "mistake." Perkins stormed out of a board meeting last year after butting heads with the company's then-chairwoman, Pattie Dunn, over what became a high-profile corporate espionage scandal. Perkins also expresses embarrassment over the price of his mega-yacht, the world's largest, worth approximately $150 million, according to the 60 Minutes release. |
