NEW YORK (CNN) -- The French markets regulator said Tuesday it has found evidence of insider trading at EADS, the parent company of Airbus.

In a report following an 18-month investigation, regulator AMF alleged EADS had misled financial markets by failing to meet standards on the publication of information.

AMF's investigation was triggered by suspicious share trades carried out by top management and shareholders in the time before EADS revealed severe delays to the production of the Airbus A380 superjumbo in June 2006.

AMF's news release about the report did not mention Airbus specifically. To top of page
