Lose your job, keep the suit!
JoS. A. Bank Clothiers offers a rebate for the full cost of a suit if a customer loses his job. And the purchaser gets to keep the suit.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- In a clothing store chain's promotion tied to these recessionary times, men can buy a new suit, and - if they lose their job - get their money back and keep the suit.
JoS. A. Bank Clothiers (JOSB) on Tuesday announced a program that offers a full rebate on the price of a suit if the purchaser loses his job. And, the consumer can keep the suit.
"At JoS. A. Bank we understand the uncertainty everyone is facing. We want to help the customer look good at work, and if he loses his job, to be dressed appropriately as he meets with his next employer," said R. Neal Black, CEO of JoS. A. Bank, in a written statement.
"It's like giving all of our customers a bit of unemployment insurance," added Black.
The promotion applies to any suit bought between March 16 and April 9, when suits are on sale for $199. If the purchaser loses his job through no fault of his own between April 16 and July 1, JoS. A. Bank Clothiers said it would refund the price of the suit up to $199, and the customer can keep the suit.
According to the release, the purchaser will need to provide certain documentation when applying for the rebate.
