Toys R Us to open at midnight on Thanksgiving
Toy giant will offer deals beginning at midnight and 5 a.m. to accommodate customers throughout the big shopping day.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- For some Black Friday shoppers, a 5 a.m. start just isn't early enough, so Toys R Us has upped the ante.
The toy giant announced it will open stores nationwide at midnight on Thanksgiving and start the shopping all-nighter with 70 "doorbuster" deals, such as a free $50 gift card with the purchase of an iPod touch and a buy-2-get-1-free sale on Batman "Dark Knight" action figures.
"Black Friday is one of our biggest shopping days of the year," said Adrienne Giordano, spokeswoman for Toys R Us. "We see thousands and thousands of shoppers in each store every year so this year we're really pulling out all the stops for them to save with us."
Toys R Us, which usually opens its doors at the crack of dawn on Black Friday, will also have 100 unadvertised "mystery" deals that day that will be unveiled at 12:01 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 25 on the company's Web site.
For customers who are after the coveted Zhu Zhu Pets, an electronic hamster toy, Toys R Us will offer a ticket to the first 100 customers in line at each store to purchase the interactive hamster.
The store will also welcome the post-midnight crowd with 50 more "doorbuster" deals that kick in at 5 a.m., including $75 of savings on a Razor scooter worth $249.99.
All the doorbuster deals will last until 1 p.m. on Black Friday, as long as supplies last. The company also said the first 250,000 customers across the nation to purchase Crayola 64 crayon boxes along with any other items will get the crayons for free.
Toys R Us will have additional sales on that Friday that will also extend into the following day, such as select Nintendo DS games for less than $10.
The toy store's holiday express locations won't necessarily have the same extended shopping hours, but will instead follow their respective mall hours.
