NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Reebok has reached a settlement with Nike, agreeing to stop producing sports apparel with the name of football star Tim Tebow, according to court documents.

Reebok agreed to stop manufacturing, distributing and selling its "unauthorized Tebow products," namely T-shirts and jerseys printed with the name of the New York Jets' quarterback, according to documents filed in the U.S. District Court in New York.

Nike (NKE, Fortune 500) filed suit against Reebok on March 28, one week after Tebow was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Jets. One day later, a federal judge issued a temporary order against Reebok to stop making the products with Tebow's name.

The court ordered Reebok to tell its retailers to pull the "unauthorized Tebow products" from its shelves and that selling the products could "expose them to liability." Reebok, a unit of German sporting equipment and apparel-maker Adidas (ADDDF), was also ordered to offer to repurchase the shirts.

The document did not mention whether the settlement involved a cash settlement, except to say that no costs or attorneys' fees would be awarded to either Reebok or Nike.

Reebok and Nike did not immediately return messages from CNNMoney. To top of page
