Sony is letting PlayStation 4 users play video games against celebrities for charity.

Sony's (SNE) new PS4 app PlayStation HEROES will let people enter a monthly drawing for a chance to play video games with or against celebrities and athletes. The winner will get to play the celebrity either in person or online.

For every dollar PS4 users spend in the app, they will receive one entry in the drawing. There's also a discounted bundle of 31 entries for $20.

The first winner of the PlayStation HEROES celebrity contest will play the game Destiny against two-time Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Shaun White in March. Later this year, gamers will also have the chance to play Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Stephen Curry, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, and rapper Snoop Dogg.

The free-to-download PlayStation HEROES app officially launches on February 24, but gamers can pre-order it now. Videos of the game play will be made available for viewing through the app.

Sony will donate at least 90 percent of all purchase prices to charity, such as the Make-A-Wish foundation, the USO, and The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
