Hummer H3 Alpha
Hummer H3 Alpha
Submitted by Karl Brauer, Edmunds.com

If you already like Hummer vehicles you'll probably love the new 2008 Hummer versions GM just introduced at the New York Auto Show. In the smaller H3 hummer you will finally be able to get a real engine (versus the anemic 5-cylinder this model debuted with). The Alpha model will have a new 5.3-liter V8 that makes 295 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. There are also interior and safety upgrades to further the affection Hummer fans already have for the vehicle.

But it's 2007, and expressing you Hummer love isn't as easy as it used to be. When your neighbor pulls up (very possibly driving a Prius) and says, "I see you got a new Hummer. What have they changed on it?" you might find yourself in the awkward position of responding, "Oh, well, they put in a bigger, more powerful engine that requires more fuel!"
