Aura Green Line: GM's hybrid cost cutter

Saturn's hybrid sedan costs less than other hybrid cars, but it's not worth as much either.

Saturn Aura Green Line: Options
The Aura's gauges include a green "Eco" light that comes on whenever the car is being driven at maximum efficency, usually with light gas pedal pressure on even ground or going downhill.
Saturn Aura Green Line: Options
If you look at "interior photos" of the Saturn Green Line on some auto Web sites, you'll see a handsome, warm interior with lots of wood trim.

Sorry, but that's not the Green Line.

That nice faux wood trim (It really is nice.) is available only on the top-of-the-line XR. For now at least, interior color options for the Aura Green Line are limited to just two choices: gray or tan cloth (No leather and it will probably never be available with the faux wood.)

In fact, any options on the Green Line are limited. You can't even get a sunroof if you want one.

That should change as production is ramped up for the 2008 model year, GM executives say. For now, GM wants to keep production simple and keep the emphasis on the car's low price.
