Car companies show off new Euro models and 'green' concept cars. Some could be for sale here soon.

Mercedes-Benz F700 concept
The F700 uses what Mercedes calls a "DiesOtto" engine. The name is a combination of "Diesel" and "Otto" after the "Otto cycle" engine that powers most gasoline-fueled cars today.

The four-cylinder engine uses gasoline but operates more like a diesel. That results in higher fuel economy, like a diesel, but with cleaner emissions, like a gasoline engine. Power is similar to a V6-powered car, according to Mercedes-Benz.

To improve ride comfort, the F700 uses lasers to scan the road ahead of the car so that suspension can automatically adjust for road imperfections. The car's back seats can be rotated to face toward the back
