Our picks for ... laptop bags

Kiss your dreary briefcase goodbye. Business 2.0 picks three laptop bags that match style to substance -- and tell the world you've truly arrived.

Tumi Formula T Turbo Compartment Brief
31/2 Stars

Weight: 5 lb.

Dimensions: 15 by 12 by 6 in.

$595; www.tumi.com

PROS Buy the Turbo to match the Armani suit -- or an Armani to keep up with the Turbo. The bag's beauty goes deeper than its rich leather skin: Buckles, zipper pulls, and other hardware bits are finished in tasteful silver. A cavernous main compartment easily holds half a dozen files plus a paperback, while zippered, stitched, and gusseted pockets provide good homes for a PDA, pens, and business cards.

CONS Given the price, you'd expect the Turbo to last a lifetime -- so why the skimpy five-year warranty? The computer sleeve could use more protection too.

BUY THIS ONE IF ... You enjoy the good -- and highly functional -- things in life.
