Brando MP4 Watch; $78; shop.brando.com.hk
Pascal Darre, marketing manager, CompeGPS:
Brando's digital timepiece isn't exactly a Dick Tracy watch, but it's the closest thing on the market today. I can use it to record and listen to audio, play video clips, and store files for work. The watch, which supports both MPEG and Windows Media formats, is available in a 2GB model, but I chose the less expensive 1GB version -- the same capacity as an iPod Shuffle. I started wearing it on business trips in November to carry video clips and photos of my youngest daughter taking her first steps. But I soon found it useful in other situations: Hit the "Record" button to create a personal reminder or capture a team member's ideas on the fly. Plug the watch into a colleague's computer with a USB cable and transfer important files immediately. This little gem from Hong Kong may not have the videoconferencing abilities of the cartoon crime fighter's version, but it still wows everybody who sees it.
