Making Google a great place to work has been the plan from the get-go. Co-founder Sergey Brin reveals that even as the company is supersizing itself, it's doing all it can to stay Googley.
"The fact that we are fairly engineering-centric has been misinterpreted to mean that somehow the other functions are less important," says Brin. "The fact is that we want everybody in the company to be innovative. You can see that in our legal or financial work - with the IPO, for example - and with our compensation systems."
