Most serious collectors eventually turn to Bordeaux and Burgundy, though Zenko recommends starting with Bordeaux, where the estates are much bigger and consequently it's much easier to learn about the various winemakers. Once you're ready to take on Burgundy, he swears by Remington Norman's book, The Great Domaines of Burgundy, as a primer.
