GE bounced back from a weak year in 2005, when revenues grew just 2.8% and profits fell 2.8%. In 2006, revenues were up 7.1% and profits grew 27%. Growth was strongest in its infrastructure division, which GE touts with its "ecomagination" advertising campaign featuring products like windmill turbines and fuel-efficient jet engines. GE has also been streamlining the company: Last year it sold its GE supply and advanced materials businesses. This year, it plans to sell its plastics division.
