The year has been mixed for Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's wife, who runs Singapore's state-owned colossus Temasek. The sovereign fund lost $1 billion on paper on its ill-fated deal to buy Shin Corp., deposed Thai leader Thaksin Shinawatra's telecom-to-TV operation. But Ho, 54, has lifted Temasek's assets above $100 billion, mostly via bank buys in China, Britain, and Indonesia, adding to its roster of local stars such as SingTel and Singapore Airlines.
