Improving upon the schlep-it-to-the-dump idea, hauler 1-800-GOT-JUNK? made our November 2003 cover as a fast-growing $12.6-million-a-year company with 74 franchisees. By providing clean trucks, polite drivers and prompt service delivered through a computer call center, this Vancouver, B.C., company has taken off.
