Why we chose it: The Technology Entrepreneurship Society tries to combine the scientific advancements of Longhorn engineers with the entrepreneurial know-how of UT's business students. TES offers Technology Entrepreneurship Seminars every fall and the Idea to Product (I2P) UT Austin Competition every spring. The Intellectual Entrepreneurship Cross-Disciplinary Consortium offers independent study courses, as well as internships and mentorships. One anthropology student worked together with the CEO of a company undergoing a merger and determined that her skills in studying civilizations could be applied to helping the two businesses work together and share their cultures.
