Why we chose it: Harvard's Owner/President Management program encourages chief executives and founders of small and mid-sized private companies to bring business problems to school, so that they can become fodder for the school's famed case-study approach - and the owner can get solutions. Participants study topics such as accounting, innovation, and negotiation under Harvard Business School faculty. Students are required to live on campus for three-week stints over the course of three consecutive years.
