Why we chose it: One of the best established institutes in the nation, Baylor specializes in succession planning, and provides free counseling to local entrepreneurs. A course called Managing the Family Business has been offered since the founding of Baylor's entrepreneurship center. Cosmetics queen Mary Kay Ash won the school's first Texas Family Business of the Year award, now in its 18th year. At the competition's awards dinner, Baylor's entrepreneurship majors are invited to sit with the family business owners who are being honored.
