Tuition: $36,330 (In-state: $25,261)

Why we chose it: The '60s idealism on the Berkeley campus lives on at the B-school, where the emphasis is on social entrepreneurship. Students have the option of joining a 250-member entrepreneurship club and also of participating in any of the Howard Lester Center's five venture and investment business plan competitions. One of these competitions is the Global Social Venture Competition, which the school runs in partnership with Columbia University. Berkeley exploits its research facilities to bring technology to market, with excellent results.
