Why we chose it: Temple has set up a council on entrepreneurship to create interdisciplinary courses and workshops for students in all academic fields. It also offers a certificate in the subject that is available to all of its students, regardless of their majors. The 9-credit certificate can supplement any Temple degree, and includes courses such as Fundamentals of New and Small Business Management, and Business Plan Development. "It gives students the opportunity to gain entrepreneurship experience without having to major in the subject," says Mindy Walls, director of entrepreneurship at West Virginia University.
