Founded by four former software executives who wanted to create something tangible, Days of Wonder, a Silicon Valley firm, publishes 14 board games. In April it launched Colosseum, a family game set in ancient Rome. Players plan elaborate gladiator games, vying for the title of Grand Impresario by buying the most entertaining animals and fighters.
