When Stephen Chernicky couldn't find a playhouse he liked for his daughter, he built his own. He received so many requests from friends and neighbors to build more that he decided to sell his masonry business to focus on the startup, which he named Lilliput. The wood playhouses feature asphalt roofs, aluminum-framed windows, and even décor such as colorful paint, stenciled designs and skylights. Customers can buy the houses through FAO Schwarz, Posh Tots and Toys "R" Us.
