Summer of sequels!

The major Hollywood studios are making big bets on some familiar names. With Spidey, Shrek, Jack Sparrow and Harry all on tap, could this be a record-breaking summer at the box office?

When is a sleeper not a sleeper? When everyone is picking it to be a sleeper.

Romantic comedy "Knocked Up" is expected to be a pretty big hit this summer. For one, the movie was written and directed by Judd Apatow, who was the man behind the 2005 surprise summer hit "The 40-Year Old Virgin."

And the movie stars Katherine Heigl, who, while not a big movie star yet, just so happens to be in a little TV show called "Grey's Anatomy."

Based on this pedigree and the movie's premise - Heigl's character gets pregnant after a one-night stand and decides to forge a relationship with her baby's daddy - several analysts think "Knocked Up" could be a welcome antidote to the bigger budget action flicks that will dominate theaters this summer. It could well be like last year's "The Break-Up," which grossed $118.7 million at the box office.

But for this reason, Box Office Mojo's Gray said nobody should call this movie a sleeper.

"At this point, people should not be surprised when romantic comedies that appeal to a date crowd do well in the summer. It's counter programming," Gray said.
