Detroit Auto Show: Next year's cars and SUVs

These are some of the new cars and concept vehicles that will take the stage at America's biggest car show.

If the 505 horsepower Corvette Z06 just isn't enough for you, General Motors is introducing the Corvette ZR1. The numbers aren't final yet, but GM is promising at least 620 horsepower from the ZR1's supercharged 6.2-liter V8.

To keep the car from getting bogged down by the extra weight of the supercharger and its attendant cooling apperatus, engineers spared no expense in trmming as much mass as possible from the rest of the car. That black roof is made from expensive carbon fiber as are the hood and fenders.
