For the 2008 model year, Toyota expanded and updated the popular Highlander crossover. The third-row seats are now genuinely usable. The second row now converts to either a regular bench seat or separate captain's chairs. (The center section folds up to store under the front-center console.) That means the kids in the way-back can get in and out easily.

The redesigned interior rivals luxury SUVs in its quality and design and, Kelley Blue Book notes, there's a slew of available technology features. They include Bluetooth telephone connection, satellite radio and voice-activated navigation.
