Mini Cooper S Clubman
Mini Cooper S Clubman
Base price: $23,450
Fuel economy: 26 city, 34 highway
Engine: Turbocharged 172 horsepower 1.6-liter 4-cylinder
Transmission: Six-speed manual or optional six-speed shiftable automatic

You've got to love the Mini Cooper. Even if you've never been inside one, you've got to love it. The word "cute" is terribly overused today, but the Mini really is just that. It's got those cute round headlights, that cute pouty grill, that cute roof that's a different color from the rest of its cute little body...

It's also loads of fun to drive. Even if you don't get the performance-tuned S edition, the regular Mini Cooper is still a kick-and-a-half to dart around town in. The body is low and wide enough to avoid wobbling in turns and the small, meaty steering wheel delivers good road feel and dart-quick response.

There is one problem, though. The Mini is very mini. Even among small cars, the Mini Cooper is extra small. So the new Mini Cooper Clubman (pronounced "CLUB-muhn) is here to help. It's a little longer, but manages to be just as much fun.

NEXT: Come on, get inside
