The Mazda5 is a gem of a vehicle that's been sadly overlooked, perhaps because of its baby-van look. It's been upgraded for the 2008 model year to offer both better performance and fuel economy while also sharpening its looks a bit.

We haven't been able to test the new version yet, but the 2007 Mazda5 was no performance slouch to begin with.

On top of having three rows of seats and lots of clever storage inside, a more fun ride would make the Mazda5 an even more interesting option.
