For those whose off-roading adventures are confined to occasionally parking on the grass, the Taurus X offers the roominess and style of an SUV with the easy access and ride quality of a station wagon.
You get three roomy rows of seating inside and good highway fuel economy. You also get a vehicle that was rated an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety "Top Safety Pick."
Buyers can also get a $2,000 cash rebate, but most credit-qualified buyers will find that the available 0% financing adds up to more. We don't recommend going for the full 60-month loan, though. In general, it isn't good to go longer than 48 months on any car loan. Otherwise you're left owing too much on your car as its value declines.
