The touch-screen based interface for the stereo is also straightforward and easy to use. Which makes the voice-activated Sync system, standard in the MKS, somewhat less useful here than it is in cheaper Ford models that don't have the screen. Still, Sync, which can operate your cell phone as well the entertainment system, works much better than most voice-activated systems and, as you learn that, you tend to use it more.
In addition to allowing you to play music stored on a "memory stick" or your cell phone, the MKS also has an on-board hard drive. That allows you to record CDs so you no longer have to carry the discs in your car.
Sirius Satellite Radio's optional "Travel Link" system allows you to view a list of local gas stations, weather forecasts and a round-up of local traffic problems.
