Cadillac Escalade
Schedule: Next generation delayed
Right now, the Escalade shares its underlying vehicle platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. The Cadillac is really a Tahoe with added features and much more chrome.
It may not always be this way, though. There have been reports, not confirmed by General Motors, that a new Cadillac Escalade could share its platform with the popular Buick Enclave full-size crossover instead.
The other option would be continuing to share a platform with the Tahoe and Yukon which, presumably, would continue as truck-based vehicles. But that project has been indefinitely delayed as well.
